The study of the distribution of various personalities types throughout classrooms never fail to amaze me. For example, in one of my criminal justice classes, there is "That Guy" who has the ability to ramble on about the most mind-numbing and irrelevant topics known to man. One student made a comment in passing about a news headline that he'd read about two years ago. Before that student could finish what he was saying, "That Guy" interrupted with the name of two similar cases. The class discussion was progressing just fine without his input. One of my classmates said afterwards, "Man, that guy in our class is going to drive me bonkers... I'm going to have to start talking just to get him to shut up!"
How is it that every class seems to have one of these characters? Off the top of my head, I can think of four classes that each had a "That Guy"s in it (previous semester & current). Why is it that there is never more than one "That Guy" in a class? Just random thoughts here, nothing too important.
