I was reading Cox & Forkum when I ran across a reference to the Roper vs. Simmons case, which didn't immediately trigger a memory. So I ran a quick search [linked above] on it.

For those of you that think young adult offenders should live, you are out of what's left of your minds.

Once you are of a certain age (say 13), you know full and well what you are doing and the consequences of your actions. For my first example, I'd like to use the "DC Sniper" Chump (the gay one, remember?). That derelict should be sentenced to death just as any other person. I do not understand why people continually seek to justify and excuse the actions of other people. If you break the friggin' law (ie: murder someone), you should be held accountable the same as every one else.

I believe in equal rights & equal opportunity. Just because you happen to be a minor at the time you committed the crime, you should be held to the same standard as everyone else. If you murdered someone, you should be shot, electrocuted in Old Sparky, or gassed to death. This legal injection with several medications to "stop the pain" is ridiculous. Strap him or her into the chair, stick a camera about 15 in front of them, hook up two cups of Liquid Plumber and enjoy the show. How's that for reality TV?

Stop trying to justify crime. Stop trying to pardon guilt. Don't vindicate, devastate!
